A high-level delegation of the national dialogue committee has arrived in South Sudan’s Aweil State on Monday to carry out consultations on the national dialogue process with local residents in the area.
Kuol Athian Mawein, former national finance minister and chairman of the national dialogue subcommittee in Northern Bahr el Ghazal, said in a statement in Aweil that the people of the area are free to express their views on the root causes of the ongoing civil war.
He vowed to exert his efforts to understand all challenges facing citizens at the grassroots across the country. He reassured the public that nobody will be arrested for exposing any problem facing South Sudan.
