National Consensus Force calls on govt to stop bombing civilians in Darfur

Sudan’s National Consensus Forces in Sudan’s South Darfur state on Sunday called for the immediate end to bombing of civilians by Sudan Air Force in Darfur, Blue Nile, and South Kordofan states.

In a press statement extended to Radio Tamazuj, the NCF also called on the United Nations/African Union mission in Darfur to protect civilians in the displacement camps against the shelling by pro-government forces.

They further stressed solidarity with students at Nyala University, calling for the release of all students arrested in relation to recent protests in many universities across the country.

The opposition group urged the people of South Darfur to form committees in the residential areas to organize peaceful uprising to overthrow the government.
