NAS appoints its Political Committee

The National Salvation Front (NAS) led by Lt. Gen. Thomas Cirillo Swaka, an armed opposition group in South Sudan has appointed members to its political committee.

The rebel group is not part of the September 2018 peace agreement.

In a statement dated 8th November, Cirillo said the formation of a political committee was a resolution arrived at following a NAS senior leadership meeting at the end of September.

Cirillo appointed James Lako Kwajok as chairperson deputized by Nasike Teko Allan.

Victor Vuni Joseph is appointed the secretary of the committee.

Members to the committee include; Oyeck Kontasio Ohya, Ufondi Fidel Dima, Rosemary Ajja Merkaje, Yein Mathew Chol, Kukur loPita Marino, Jalfa John Perry, Khalid Ono Loki, Suba Samuel Manasi, Faris Mathew, Vera Mahadi, Sokiri LoPoni Samuel, Wani Lolik, Haram Muhamed Ahmed, Louis Danga, David Loro Hillary, James Ochang Ojuch, Jackline Edward Peter, and Peter Salah Natana.
