Names of Warrap activists jailed for opposing Governor Nyandeng

At least five youth leaders from Warrap have been arrested in Juba for opposing Governor Nyandeng Malek while at least three others were detained in Juba.

The arrested youths are being held without charge. Some of them have allegedly criticized the governor for incompetence, absenteeism and failing to contain inter-communal violence.

Warrap youth activists arrested in Juba include:

· Carlos Maluil Makuek, from Tonj North

· John Angok Mawen, member of National Youths Union

· Akok Aduol, from Tonj North

· Deng Kuel Thiep, from Gogrial East

· Simon Mashuar, SPLM chairman in Juba University

Youh leaders arrested in Kuacjok on 3 July are:

· Mawar Deng Wol, from Tonj North

· Lual Ater Dut, from Gogrial West

· Mayom Akcuh Teet, from Tonj North
