The finance ministry in South Sudan's Northern Bahr el Ghazal State in collaboration with the national finance ministry Tuesday launched a 10-day training to review the state's strategic plan and streamline it with the national plan.
About 30 director generals, women, civil society actors, and staff from the ministry of finance are participating in the training aimed at working on a strategic framework for the next three years.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday, the Director-General for the state finance ministry said, "The training was officially opened by the state governor, Tong Akeen Ngor and it will continue. All director generals and CSOs will work closely until we come out with positive results because this effort needs effective participation of technical people so that we come up with possible strategies intended for the development of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State."
Warrap state has also done the exercise with the help of the national ministry of finance and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
