In a bid to standardize salary payments for government employees, the Northern Bahr el Ghazal government has introduced an electronic filing system for all state workers.
Minister of Labour, Public Service and Human Resource Development Luol Mawien Deng told Radio Tamazuj Wednesday that the cabinet has officially endorsed the system and all state employees will be expected to participate.
He said there was a need to standardize both employment and employee records in the state. In the past, some workers have been unable to produce birth certificates or any other form of identification.
The system will also be used to monitor openings and create opportunities for youth. He said an announcement about job openings would be made once an assessment of all positions is completed.
