The Northern Bahr al Ghazal Legislative Assembly summoned state Minister of Labor and Public Service Luol Maweil on Wednesday to brief the House on his activities.

Northern Bahr al Ghazal Assembly information Chairperson Achak Thiep Thiep said the purpose of summoning the minister to brief state lawmakers on why he issued an order of cutting 50 SSP per each state employee.

They also wanted to know about a "Labor Card" which job seekers must buy for 25 SSP, as well as recent promotions despite budgetary constraints for new recruits.

Minister Luol said he formed an employement and promotions committee to implement the state goverement’s policy which will allow 864 more people to be recruited in various government institutions.
