Musician released from military custody in Wunyiik

Prominent musician Larson Angok Garang has been released from military custody in Wunyik on Thursday.

The artist says he was set free without charges after more than forty days in jail, according to a report by a local FM station. Following his release, the musician called on security personnel to follow the right procedures when dealing with suspects.

An army spokesperson in the area Emmanuel Majok Majok has confirmed the release.

Angok’s plight was highlighted on Nhomlau FM on Wednesday when he appealed to be either taken to court or released.
