Telecommunications Company MTN has resumed its operations in Ibba County of Western Equatoria State last week after six years, a local official said.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, the county’s executive director, Justin John Miraya said the company halted its operations due to some technical problems it experienced coupled with fuel shortages.

He said the resumption of the MTN network has eased communication in the area.

Charles Ngerere, a resident, said people in the county are now able to communicate with relatives outside the country using MTN network.

Agnes Michael, another resident, said the MTN network has enabled her to connect with relatives and friends in the different parts of the country.
