Customers using mobile telephones on the MTN network are again able to make calls again in Wau, capital of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, according to a source in Wau.

The network went off-air several days ago after violence broke out in Wau and returned sometime yesterday evening.

A second source, a Wau native who is currently in Juba but with contacts in Wau, said that the MTN facility at Daraja next to Wau Stadium had been looted.

“The guard was killed and the office assets looted,” he said.
