A group of parliamentarians representing political parties which took part in the country’s national dialogue in Sudan’s West Kordofan state walked out of parliament during deliberations on the 2017/2018 budget on Monday.
In a statement seen by Radio Tamazuj, the MPs said they walked out of parliament because the ruling National Congress Party dominated the deliberations, while citing other challenges facing them in the state parliament.
The MPs also accused the state governor and members of the National Congress Party of excluding them from discussions. They also accused the ruling party of failing to implement the national dialogue process.
