Charity Muktar, a 26-year-old mother of triplets has appealed for support to help raise her children who were born at Yei Civil Hospital last week.

Muktar, who is now a mother to two boys and a girl, thanked God for the gift of the children but said she anticipates challenges of feeding, educating and providing them with medical health facilities.

“What I want from the NGOs and the government is to help me. We are undergoing serious challenges at this current situation. They are three; two males and a girl. Any support can rescue our situation,” she said.

Woman activist popularly known as Mama Hawa said the women of Yei will support Mukhar despite the country’s economic and political crisis, for the betterment of the children who are the future of the nation.

“We are not going to leave her alone as women in Yei. Therefore, we are calling on fellow women, the government and other stakeholders to really extend support for this young mother so that she is not traumatized for the rest of her life. Taking care of three children is not an easy task so let’s unite for assistance,” said Hawa.
