South Sudan’s Foreign Affairs Minister Barnaba Marial Benjamin will visit Moscow, Russia, to discuss bilateral relations including areas for economic cooperation.
The minister said on Saturday that he plans to visit Russia after attending the two-day humanitarian conference in Oslo, which starts tomorrow.
Catholic Radio Network reported he said he would visit Moscow to talk to his counterpart Sergei Lavrov about bilateral relations including development of agricultural activities.
Russia’s interests in South Sudan include construction of an oil refinery. Moscow has also agreed with neighboring Sudan to host an Arab-Russian cooperation meeting on 24-25 May.
