Some refugees from Blue Nile, besides conflict-displaced people from South Sudan have recently arrived to Sherkole camp (Kubri Khamsa) in Ethiopia.
The camp already accommodates a large number of people mostly from Blue Nile State where conflict erupted in 2011 between the Sudan Armed Forces with allied militias and the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North.
Bolis Nango Magot, supervisor of Sherkole camp, told Radio Tamazuj that about 250 refugees arrived in the camp from September to October.
He further said about 15 households from South Sudan have recently reached the camp and that the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) is registering them in order to give them food rations.
