A 30-year-old man from Koch Town Unity State’s Koch County on Monday sentenced a man to ten years in jail by the new mobile court after being found guilty of defiling a minor on Monday.

The man allegedly committed the offense last August within the county.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday Giel Waar, the Unity State advisor on justice, confirmed the defilement case and said the sentence was based on the evidence presented before the mobile court.

“The man who was found guilty is the son of the executive director of Koch County and his sentence serves as an example to the rest of the people who rape young girls,” he said. “We, the mobile court, found him guilty of defiling a 14-year-old girl and sentenced him to ten years in jail. The incident took place last year in the area of Koch County headquarters.”

“The girl was taken to Koch Hospital for medical treatment last year due to injuries she sustained when she was sexually abused,” Waar added.

This is the second time a similar case has happened in Koch County. Last year, two men were sentenced to five and ten years in jail respectively for defiling a minor.
