Minister: 95,000 children out of school in Sudan’s Blue Nile state

The Minister of Education in Sudan’s Blue Nile state, Ramadan Hamad, says 95,000 children are out of school in the state, citing ministry statistics.

Hamad said his ministry is seeking to get the children who dropped out of school back to learning in collaboration with the World Bank and European Union.

Meanwhile, a source inside the Ministry of Education, who preferred not to be named, said the dropouts from schools are due to the war and lack of development in Blue Nile state.
