South Sudan's Minister of Information and Broadcasting Michael Makuei left the country last week to receive medical treatment in Nairobi, according to a press statement made Friday by his deputy minister Rachel Nyadak Paul.

Nyadak revealed after a cabinet meeting that the minister was treated for malaria. She said that he will return to South Sudan after several days when he recovers his health.
