Merrikh FC snatch a difficult victory from Black Eagle FC

Merrikh FC (in red) snatched a difficult victory from Black Eagle FC (in black) by penalty shots 4 to 2 goals on Wednesday at Juba Stadium in the Juba football association qualifiers for the South Sudan Cup 2016.

Black Eagle from Division two clubs began the match strongly since the beginning, scoring in only the third minute of the first half by player Kuel Nyonk. But in the second half Merrikh from division one clubs managed to draw after scoring a penalty goal by the player Sebit Swaris.

The Black Eagle FC Coach Peter Angok said his team has played a good match but he was dissatisfied by the penalty goal, describing the referee as one of Merrikh FC’s Fans. But he siad his team is ready for the next matches of the Juba football league.

The Merrikh FC Coach Marco Wol said that his boys did not play a good match and the reasons for this was the Merrikh’s preparations were late and about six key players of the club were absent. He said he hoped Merrikh FC improves its level of play in the next maatch.

By this result, Merrikh FC will face Nasir FC on Friday, April 8, in the third phase of JFA qualifiers for South Sudan Cup 2016.
