Police in Aweil West County say a man has killed his six year old child. The incident took place over the weekend at Nyamlel area.

The man is suspected to be of unsound mind, a local radio station reported. Police say the suspect quarreled with his wife, forcing her to leave their home before committing the crime.

Tong Mathon Akot, the police investigation officer at Nyemlel, advised the community to take care of mental patients in order to avoid such incidents.
