Citizens in Meiram area in Sudan’s West Kordofan State have expressed their satisfaction with outcome of a recent reconciliation conference between Al Fayarin clan of the Misseriya tribe and the Awlad Hamad of the Rizeigat tribe.
The peace meeting held in Babanusa town between the Misseriya and Rizeigat tribes came up with a resolution to impose tough penalties on anyone who violates the agreement. Suleiman Al Sharif, a resident in Meiram town, told Radio Tamazuj that stability has returned to the area after the reconciliation conference between the two tribes.
As a Misseriya, he expressed their readiness to return to their normal relations with the Rizeigat tribe if the necessary arrangements are done. The two feuding tribes agreed to payment blood money and compensate wounded people from both sides who suffered in recent conflicts.
