Medicine shortages at Abyei Hospital

Abyei Hospital is running low on medicines for treating various diseases in the disputed area of Abyei between Sudan and South Sudan, multiple sources said.

Abyei Hospital is running low on medicines for treating various diseases in the disputed area of Abyei between Sudan and South Sudan, multiple sources said.

The sources told Radio Tamazuj the area is witnessing acute shortage of medicines, saying that families of patients admitted to the health facility struggle to get medicines.

The same sources explained that the hospital depends on the Federal Ministry of Health in South Sudan to supply it with medicines. The sources also cited acute shortages of medical personnel in the facility.
