Measles outbreak in Warrap State

There has been an outbreak of measles continue in Warrap State dispite efforts to limit its spread, local hospital officials tell Radio Tamazuj. 

Officials have seen more than 280 suspected measles cases and 5 deaths from health facilities in Kuajok, Twic, Tonj South, Abyei and Gogrial.

"We are still receiving more children infected with measles cases. Yesterday we received 4 children and these children are coming from Thurabyei, Waralel and Majak Amal residential areas here in Kuajok," Akot explained

Akot revealed that the ministry of health with the support from World Health Organization - WHO and other health partners have formed a committee to find out if the mopping up was done properly and whether there some unreported children.
