Five children are said to have fallen sick due to measles disease in South Sedan’s Aweil State.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday, State Medical Commissioner Pioth Akot revealed that the state hospital received five cases of infection.

He stressed that his administration could not determine the size of the spread of this disease due to poor roads condition in the state, pointing out the recorded cases had come from remote villages.

Pioth noted that Aweil hospital is the main health facility where patients get free health services in greater Northern Bahr el Ghazal.
