The rehabilitation of Maridi-Mvolo road was launched today by Rhino Construction Company with financial support from the World Bank.
Speaking during the official opening of the project, Maridi County Commissioner Wilson Thomas Yanga said that the construction effort was delayed by the national crisis.
He further warned politicians who are trying to stop the road construction from saying anything to stop it, reported Maridi FM.
The project is expected to take one year to connect Maridi to Mvolo road via Kozi Payam of Maridi, a distance of about 90 miles.
After completing the Maridi-Mvolo road, the company plans to start work on the Maridi-Yei Road via Ngamunde Payam.
