South Sudanese civilians continue to arrive at the Bentiu camp for displaced people in Unity state, the United Nations said yesterday.

South Sudanese civilians continue to arrive at the Bentiu camp for displaced people in Unity state, the United Nations said yesterday.

The UN’s Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said the population of the camp is nearly at 115,000 as of 31 December 2015.

559,099 people are displaced within Unity state, along with 513,121 in Jonglei and 303,204 in Upper Nile, OCHA said. Over 1.6 million South Sudanese are displaced from their homes inside the country.
