A man with disabilities was shot dead by a government soldier at Ombachi Payam in Otogo County in Yei River State on Wednesday, according to an eyewitness.
The eyewitness, who identified himself as Samuel, told Radio Tamazuj that a disabled person called Seme was killed at his home when government troops were carrying night patrols in the village.
“Unfortunately, when the soldiers came, the disabled person was walking with his crutches and he was shot dead on the spot. There is no one to rescue the disabled person, they are just surviving on the available traditional medicines and little available food,” he said.
He called on the warring parties to end the ongoing conflict to enable the vulnerable people to have better living conditions.
Radio Tamazuj could not reach military officials to comment on the matter.
