A man was killed in his home when a hand grenade exploded in Thiet County in South Sudan’s Tonj State on Monday morning, according to a local official.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, the police inspector in Thiet County, Wol Abukodos said the grenade exploded inside the victim's house when he was planning to go to a local court to settle a dispute over a child.

Abukodos further said they didn’t know the reasons behind the incident.
