Authorities of Tambura County on Tuesday said they had arrested a man suspected to have been involved in the killing of a trader last week.

The businessman identified as Bimo Alphones was found dead in his house at Young-star area western part of Tambura Town on Thursday morning.

Teriki Sasa, Tambura County Commissioner told Radio Tamazuj that they have arrested the perpetrator who is a relative of the deceased.

Sasa urged the local community to remain calm and allow police authorities to investigate the matter.

The local authority further added that this is the second incident of such nature where a businessman was killed by armed men in Tambura. But he said in the earlier incident, no one was apprehended.
