Man arrested for opening fire at home of Gogrial West commissioner

The head of the county government in Gogrial West County in Warrap State has confirmed that they arrested a man last week for allegedly opening fire on his home last week.

The head of the county government in Gogrial West County in Warrap State has confirmed that they arrested a man last week for allegedly opening fire on his home last week.

Gogrial West Commissioner Makuch Aru Luac said a man who was an employee of Vivacell company in the county claimed not to have been paid by the company for some months and he accused the commissioner of having been involved in the process.

“He shot the whole bullets inside the gun into the home of commissioner and nobody was killed or wounded,” he said.

Makuch said the man was detained since last week on 7 March and that his case was forwarded to the state capital for investigation. He did not specify any date for a court trial.

The official recalled that the same man had allegedly opened fire on staff of Vivacell company last October but nobody was hurt. He confirmed that he had held discussions with the telecom company about the matter but they reportedly denied responsibility or culpability for the issue.
