Mahad Girls’ Secondary School defeated Nile Model Girls’ Secondary School 3-0 in a volleyball match played in Juba on Saturday as part of preparations for World Teachers’ Day celebrations next month.

The match was played at Nimratalata volleyball stadium in Juba.

 At least 12 secondary schools are participating in the volleyball tournament. These secondary schools include, Fatima Fakhr, Comboni, Juba Technical, Juba Commercial, Supiri, Prestige, Jubek, Juba Girls, Chinese Friendship, Nile Model, Mahad and Juba Proper.

The final match will be played at Nimratalata basketball court on October 4.

The United Nations World Teachers' Day is annually celebrated on October 5 to pay tribute to the roles teachers play around the world.
