South Sudan's Ministry of Trade on Saturday concluded its first-ever Made in South Sudan Exhibition that aims to promote locally-made products and also scale up industrial development in the country.

Arema Florance, the Director of Women Association in South Sudan, told Radio Tamazuj on Sunday that the exhibition that kicked off last week was an opportunity to showcase products locally made and developed in South Sudan.

She further said her association formed in February this year, showcased many pieces of hand crafts which were in high demand at the exhibition.

Florance called on other women and young girls who are not able to continue with their education to visit their offices at the South Sudan Hotel and join the association so they can learn life skills and be independent.

She pointed out that the main challenge they face is the lack of sewing machines, while calling on the government and organizations to provide them with tools so they can develop their production.
