Authorities in Maban County, Upper Nile state have given farmland to refugees from Blue Nile.
The refugees received five agricultural plots to cultivate this year, according to Alim Moun Jabir, the Paramount Nazir of the Blue Nile tribes in Maban County.
Jabir told Radio Tamazuj that the authorities gave them the land after complaints by refugees about food shortages.
However, Jabir said humanitarian organizations have also recently increased food rations in Maban thanks to a more stable security situation.
“The security has improved a little bit in Upper Nile, that is why humanitarian organizations were able to provide food to the needy people,” he said.
