Yusuf stressed that they welcome justice even if it may lead to conviction of individuals from their side.
Meanwhile, a leader of the Rizeigat tribe Mahmud Musa Madibo expressed reservations with regard to the investigation committee. Madibo told Radio Tamazuj that said they were waiting for the investigation committee to arrive and carry out its task.
He added the investigation should cover all incidents that occurred in Sudan as a whole including Darfur. “Why the government did not investigate the incidents that preceded the recent incidents in Abu Karinka?” he asked.
