A local official in southwestern South Sudan has reported the abduction of a woman, alleging that the Lord’s Resistance Army is responsible for the crime.

Ezo County Commissioner Albert Moudie said that five men and one woman were kidnapped at a farm near the border with the Central Africa Republic over the weekend. The five men were released but the woman is still missing, he said.

“We organized our army who pursued them but they entered into Congo territory which we could not pursue them up to Congo,” Moudie said in an interview with Eye Radio FM in Juba.
