Members of the Lol state parliament have elected a new deputy speaker and new heads of the specialized committees after deliberations on Friday.

Hassan Jalab Kadam was elected as the new deputy speaker. Members of the state parliament also elected new chairpersons of the specialized committees.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Saturday, Joseph Deng Nguach, Lol state parliamentary speaker confirmed the election and said the deputy and the new chairpersons were selected unanimously last week.

Deng said the newly elected lawmakers have the ability to deliver and improve the state parliament.
