The governor of South Sudan’s Lol state has removed the minister of education and appointed a new official.

Governor Rizik Hassan Zachariah, according to the order which became public on Monday, sacked Garang Akok Ngor from the ministry and appointed Peter Dut Akot who until his appointment was serving as the minister of physical infrastructure as the new minister of education.

No new official was appointed into the ministry of physical infrastructure. 

The former education minister, Garang Akok Ngor, was appointed as an adviser for peace and reconciliation in the state. No reason was given for changes.
