The governor of South Sudan’s Lol State has issued an order appointing Kerubino Jel Mawien as the new state minister of finance and public service.

Governor Rizik Hassan Zachariah, according to the order which became public on Monday, made the appointment after approving the resignation of William Anyuon Kuol from the ministerial position. Anyuon resigned in June citing personal reasons.

Jel, the new finance minister was the acting director general of finance in the ministry.
