The former county commissioner of Budi County in South Sudan’s Eastern Equatoria State, Sam Felix, says that the county is facing a dire lack of food due to inadequate rainfall.

Felix told Radio Tamazuj on Thursday that most people are suffering in South Sudan but the suffering of the people of Budi County has doubled this year due to failure of the agricultural season last year.

Felix called on international NGOs and the government to provide additional humanitarian assistance to citizens in the county.
