An extensive campaign to vaccinate livestock along nomads’ migration routes is underway at Wad Dabker and Abuhanok in the border state of South Kordofan.
Omda Hamid Abdul Rahman stated that the campaign began on Tuesday this week and will continue until next Sunday in Wad Dabaker and Abuhanok, explaining that the campaign began with a complete integrated veterinary clinic staffed by veterinarians and stocked with medicines and vaccinations for all diseases of livestock.
This campaign is under the supervision of the mobile veterinary services of the Ministry of Livestock in South Kordofan.
Abdul Rahman said that this campaign aimed to target Alfahmya fever, ticks and bovine poisoning. He attributed the large number of insects this season to the large amount of rainfall this year, which threatens to increase the incidence of diseases.
