The Jieng Youth Union in Lakes state organized a one-day peace conference at Akon Buoi Cultural Hall in Rumbek Central on Thursday.

The State Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Wol Agany Mazeek used the opportunity to praise the Union for helping reconcile different communities in the state and for working toward developmental and agricultural activities.

The Union Chairperson Samuel Marial Dongrin said the initiative will be conducted in seven other counties of the state. He urged youth to cooperate with the state government in tackling insecurity.
