Two more people have been killed in the cycle of revenge attacks that has engulfed South Sudan’s Lakes State this year.
The Thuyiic and Gony clans clashed in Rumbek East on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of a student and a pastoralist.
“We suspect this killing to be part of the daily revenge attacks which has been going on in Rumbek,” a police official told Gurtong News Agency.
Authorities said their attempts to investigate and arrest perpetrators have been ‘futile’ because citizens will not share information with security agents, Gurtong reported.
