When contacted, a civil society activist in Lakes State Daniel Laat Kon appreciated the changes but urged the country’s presidency to resolve any outstanding issues and appoint the commissioner for Yirol West county.

“People are very concerned about the vacant position of SPLM-IO in Yirol West county. It’s now half a year without the appointment of the commissioner of Yirol county,” he said.
