The lack of adequate toilet facilities has been a major health hazard in the Pibor area in South Sudan’s Boma State, a local official said.
Boma’s Health Minister David Philip Omot told Radio Tamazuj on Monday that the lack of adequate sanitation caused infections and eye diseases in the area.
He pointed out that the lack of toilets in the town of Pibor poses a serious health threats.
The health official complained that cases of skin diseases are also on the rise in the area.
The government official pointed that his state is facing enormous challenges due to lack of infrastructure.
