At least four people from the Fallata tribe have been killed in separate attacks by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in the border area between Sudan, South Sudan and Central Africa Republic earlier this month.
Sources said the killings could be revenge for the killing of two LRA memers by armed men from Fallata inside Sudanese territory in January.
Yusuf al-Samani, the paramount chief of the Fallata tribe in Sudan’s South Darfur state, confirmed the killing of four members of his tribe by LRA rebels. He pointed out that the killing of their tribe members could be revenge for the killing of two LRA rebels fighter by Fallata armed men.
He suggested the LRA might be following Fallata cattle camps in order to exact their revenge.
Al-Samani reiterated their complaints about the killing and looting committed against his tribe by members by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in the border area between Sudan and South Sudan.
