Kiir to attend inauguration of Kenyan president

South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir is set to fly to Nairobi next week to attend the inauguration of Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta, the government said Friday.

South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir is set to fly to Nairobi next week to attend the inauguration of Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta, the government said Friday.

South Sudan’s information minister Michael Makuei told Radio Tamazuj today that Kiir will travel to Kenya next Tuesday to attended the ceremony to swear in President Kenyatta, who has been in power since 2013 and won an election last month.

 “President Kiir will attend the inauguration ceremony because he has been invited to attend the event on Tuesday,” Makuei said.
