President, according to the broadcast by the state owned South Sudan broadcasting corporation on Friday, sacked Clement Taban from his position as the Undersecretary of Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management. He replaced him with Gatwech Peter Kulang.

In another Republican Decree 318/2016AD he promoted Brigadier General Tet Machar to the rank of Major General in the Sudan People’s Liberation Army and transferred him another in Republican Decree 319/2016AD into the South Sudan National Police Service.
