Kiir sacks Trade Ministry Undersecretary

President Salva on Tuesday evening fired the Undersecretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Dr Malok Ngor Malok, and appointed Kawaja Kau Madol in his place.

The decree announced on state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation did not give any reasons for the change.

It was the fourth time Kiir appointed and sacked the undersecretaries in the Ministry of Trade in the last five months.

The motive behind the frequent changes remains unclear although last year the President said he was looking for solutions to the country’s problems.

In another decree, Kiir replaced officials in the Lakes State Government where he relieved ministers Chol Kutwel Mahom of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agencies and  Mawet Manuer Kok  of Housing, Land and Public Utilities, and county commissioners Samuel Mabor Deng of Rumbek North and Mangar Machol Malok of Rumbek East, of their duties.

They were replaced by; Mabor Mayen Wol, Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agencies, Zachariah Magoth Ater, Minister of Housing, Land and Public Utilities, Maker Magok Majok, Rumbek North County and Malual Manyuon, Ater Rumbek East County.

The South Sudan leader revoked the appointment of Ater Jeremiah Telar and replaced him with Madit Chok Athing, and Lat Manyuot Mabor replaced the late Joseph Manyuot Mabor in the Lakes State Legislature.

In another decree, Kiir appointed Anok Isaac Koang as an MP in the Upper House of Parliament to replace the late Isaac Koang Anok.
