Kiir sacks humanitarian ministry undersecretary

South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir on Thursday evening relieved William Chan Achuil of his duties as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.

The President replaced Achuil with Dr. Denis Marial Morwel.

In decrees broadcast on the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC), Kiir also removed Caesar Oliha Marko and Dr. Khalid Marol Riak from their positions as Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the National Petroleum and Gas Commission, respectively.

He appointed Alier Bullen Ngong and Arkangelo Okwang Oler as the new Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the National Petroleum and Gas Commission, respectively.

Also relieved of his duties was Lual Chol Dak, Director General of the Petroleum Exploration and Production Authority, who was replaced by Joseph Esbon Waiwai Bilali.
