Kiir’s ministers want to repair Juba-Nimule road

Salva Kiir’s Council of Ministers has approved 12 million pounds for the repair of the Juba- Nimule road, which is the main supply line between Uganda and South Sudan.

Salva Kiir’s Council of Ministers has approved 12 million pounds for the repair of the Juba- Nimule road, which is the main supply line between Uganda and South Sudan.

A separate sum of more than one million US dollars has also been approved for the maintenance of Juba Bridge. The decision was taken at an extraordinary cabinet meeting called today.

As quoted by Radio Miraya, Minister of Information Michael Makuei explained, “The cabinet found that it is necessary to maintain this road and bridge. So it was decided… the cabinet approved sum of 12 million South Sudanese Pounds for the maintenance of the Juba-Nimule road and sum of 1,567,218 dollars for the maintenance and repair of Juba bridge.”
