South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Thursday revoked the appointment of two nominees of the South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) to the National Legislature’s Council of States (Upper House) and the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (Lower House) respectively.
In a decree broadcast on the South Sudan Broadcasting Cooperation (SSBC) on Thursday night, Kiir rescinded Ali Ramadan Ogul`s membership in the TNLA and replaced him with Nyawelo Gwang Kiir Ajak.
In the Upper House, the president revoked the appointment of Dr. John Okach Lueth and announced Elia Paul Ngori Julu as his replacement.
President Kiir also relived Hassan Abdalrahman Baar, the Deputy Chairperson of the Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation Commission, and Saad Suleiman Chol Thok, a member Anticorruption Commission in Lakes State. Both belong to SSOA.
